PhD Student @ EPFL · Machine Learning

I am a fifth-year PhD student at EPFL, advised by Prof. Michael Gastpar, and am currently a visiting student scholar at UC Berkeley.

My research focuses on the theoretical foundations and practical methods for building reliable, trustworthy, and efficient machine learning systems, with an emphasis on uncertainty quantification and robust decision-making.

  • Inference-time scaling for large language models (LLMs)
  • Uncertainty quantification, including conformal prediction
  • Preference learning and LLM alignment
  • Finite-sample and non-asymptotic analysis of learning algorithms
